FUNDING CATEGORIES
New Smartfin vets and prepares PO-backed funding dossiers across every category of procurement — from government contracts to import, export and construction.

Vet and prepare PO-backed funding dossiers for suppliers awaiting payment from approved government departments and municipalities.

Finance purchase orders from private-sector buyers and corporate procurement offices with secure escrow controls.

Back import purchase orders — from customs clearance to supplier settlement — with compliant cession tracking.

Fund export purchase orders and shipping fulfilment, securing supplier payment against verified export documentation.

Finance the domestic supply and delivery of goods — from procurement to fulfilment — across the local supply chain.

Back small-scale construction and infrastructure contracts with compliant cession and milestone-based tracking.
COMPLIANCE FRAMEWORK
Every procurement file clears zero-bypass compliance checkpoints before disbursement.
The tiered vetting fee (R150–R6,000) is collected at Gate 7 via PayByBank after the cession of payment rights (Gate 4) is confirmed. Lending is presented upon committee approval once New Smartfin presents the purchase order pack to the committee. All 7 gates must pass before disbursement.
Note: The PayByBank payment rail is planned and currently in development. Vetting fee collection will activate once the open-banking payment rails integration is completed. Provider to be confirmed.

After the Gates — Disbursement & Settlement
Once all gates clear, funding is disbursed to the supplier-nominated quotation as submitted. New Smartfin then receives the buyer's proceeds in line with the perfected cession, and settles the supplier's overall profit from the order.
